Machine Learning Group
This working group is organized by Audrey Fu (Stat), Frank Gao(数学), Linh Nguyen (数学), 闵贤(CS), and Aleksandar Vakanski (CS). In this working group, we will discuss a wide range of topics on machine learning, 深度学习, artificial intelligence, statistical learning, and their applications in science and society. We encourage participants to share their research or lead the discussion on recent or classic research papers.
The working group meetings are also listed as a one-credit seminar course MATH 400 SEM: Machine Learning (CRN 76532). The course runs from Jan 12 through May 13. Students who register for this course will be expected to have some participation in the meetings.
Day/Time: Fridays at 3:30-4:20pm (Pacific time).
Location: In-person in IRIC 352 and 通过放大.

Python for 数据科学 Club

In the Python for 数据科学 Club, we focus on Python programming. At the club meetings, we go over tutorials of basic and advanced Python programming and explore applications of Python to data analysis.

Zoom Watch party
2020年，博士. Somantika Datta organized several informal Zoom get-togethers where participants watched videos related to the amazing things that can be done with mathematics and how one uses mathematics in daily life. The Zoom Watch party were open to all and no mathematics knowledge was required.
