节日舞蹈
节日舞蹈 has a rich and colorful history of accomplishments and service in the arts while in partnership with the University of Idaho 舞蹈节目. Throughout the many years 节日舞蹈 has been in residence, it has provided teaching and outreach opportunities, and valuable benefits for dance students.
The Great Performance Series is one of the only professional dance series between Seattle and Minneapolis and has garnered grant support from the National Endowment for the 艺术, the Idaho Commission on the 艺术, the Washington State 艺术 Commission, the Western States 艺术 Federation and the New England Foundation for the 艺术. 节日舞蹈 has presented more than 80 different touring professional dance companies to the 莫斯科/Pullman area. 表演 are at the Beasley Coliseum in Pullman, Wash. Discount tickets are provided for U of I students, with additional discounts for dance majors.
节日舞蹈 provides the students taking 跳舞 Pedagogy and Children’s 跳舞 at least 15 practicum hours a semester through the 节日舞蹈 Academy. Class offerings include Ballet, 爵士乐, 利用, 凯尔特和嘻哈, along with Kinderdance classes for dancers as young as 4 years old. Each year, 节日舞蹈 hires four to six dance students to teach beginning level dance classes. Students are able to earn money for their education while at the same time gaining valuable teaching experiences to enhance their résumés.
节日舞蹈 has a stellar record of providing outstanding arts opportunities for area youth. 4人以上,000 youths from 莫斯科 and the region are reached each year with dance classes, 夏天车间, in-school master classes and workshops, performance opportunities and programs by leading professional touring artists.
